In early 2014, I had a dream. I was in a large meeting room, like a community room at a library. Maybe 20-30 people had gathered for prayer. We were all in little groups of three, interceding with God, praying for our churches. The lights were soft, the voices were quiet but earnest. Desirous of God to move in our churches.
In the dream, I started to pray:
“Father, pour our a greater measure of your Spirit on those who hear Your voice, so they can change their churches from the inside out.”
Note: As I was praying in the dream, I knew that I was praying for the intercessors and the prayer teams in every church that they would increase in the gift of prophecy. The prayer teams, if they receive a greater measure of God’s Spirit, especially prophecy can change any church. This was the meaning of my prayer, even in the dream I knew this was the answer I was asking God for a greater release of prophecy upon the churches.
Immediately upon praying that short prayer the room got brighter, I started to shaken and fell out of my chair. In the dream I lay on my side, pressed to the ground, staring up at the ceiling as the light in the room grew brilliantly white.
Pressed into the floor by an invisible weight, I kept repeating the prayer: “Pour out your Spirit on those who can hear. Pour out your Spirit”. The room kept getting brighter, the weight heavier and I was shaking in the dream from the power of God. I kept repeating the prayer over and over.
Eventually, I was stirred awake by my wife for as I was shaking in the dream I also was shaking in the bed. She asked if I was alright. Dazed, I told her I wish she hadn’t woken me up, as it was the most glorious dream I have ever had to that point.
At the time of the dream, nothing like had ever happened to me. I couldn’t imagine God shaking someone and weighing them down like that, though I have since felt such weight and power come upon me in God’s Presence.
For months after, and even now on occasion, every time I went past a church, I prayed that same prayer. “Father, pour our a greater measure of your Spirit on those who hear your voice, so they can change their churches from the inside out.”
I am sure that God delights to answer this prayer, as shown by the visitation in the dream.

If you are that person in your church, who hears God’s voice, then now be blessed with a greater measure of God’s Spirit of prophecy and wisdom. That you may help stir up your church to all the Spirit of God wants to release through you, into your church, to bless it from the inside out!
