The Encounter Team meets several times a month to encourage one another, continue to learn together, and pray for one another. They regularly meet in smaller teams to do inner healing and deliverance ministry. Any experience level is welcome, please see our Beliefs and Values.
Inner Healing Appointments
Our prayer ministers’ goal is to help you connect with God and feel His healing touch in your heart from pain and trauma. Prayer healing appointments are not counseling or therapy sessions.
What is Inner Healing?
“…pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” (James 5:16, ESV).
Jesus came to set the captives free and heal the broken-hearted (Isaiah 61). Inner healing is where prayer ministers come alongside your healing journey. They will add to your powerful prayers and help guide the session as they listen to the Holy Spirit. Sometimes inner healing will involve deliverance and spirits leaving, but it may also include being filled more with the Holy Spirit. Inner healing is not counseling or therapy; it is prayer ministry. The inner healing team is trained to pray for any physical issues, sickness, or injuries; we love to see Jesus heal.
If you are coming from another prayer ministry or church we may require you to bring a sponsor (pastor, small group leader, or discipler) who will continue with you on your journey after the appointment. This allows disciplers and mentors to see the process of inner healing. If you are receiving professional medical or mental health services, we encourage you to continue to do so. Prayer ministry is a support to your larger healing journey. If your needs are beyond what our team is trained to handle, we will refer you to further services.
What Is Prophetic Ministry?
“…Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy… the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.” (1 Cor 14:1,3, ESV).
The prophetic ministry supports many of the ministries of Encounter. Hearing the voice of God, knowing His will, hearing God for others to encourage them or lead a healing time, speaking encouragement, discerning the voice of God and prophetic words are all apart of prophetic ministry. We regularly speak prophetic words over one another or conduct ministry times for others to come and have words spoken over them.
Regular trainings and prophetic nights are held to discuss topics like hearing God’s voice, discerning prophetic words, giving prophetic words in a church context, dream interpretation, journaling God’s voice, and other special topics. Our prophetic trainers love to see people activated in prophecy. God is always speaking; He has countless thoughts toward us. Are we listening? The prophetic ministry team is a great way to continue to pursue the gift of prophecy and grow with others in understanding and wisdom of how to use the giftings.

Prophetic ministry
Prophetic ministry times are usually monthly, in a team setting where individuals receive 5 to 10 minutes of prayer and prophetic encouragements. Join the newsletter for the times and places to receive this ministry, or join the ministry team, which is the best way to grow in Christ and be blessed as well.
Physical Healing
Physical Healing prayer is done in a team setting using the 5 step prayer model, led by the Holy Spirit. The simple prayer of faith avails much (James 5:15-16) and the gift of healing, through Jesus Christ is the focus of all ministry.
Freedom Prayer
Freedom prayer may include inner healing of hurts of the past, pain, or trauma. Sometimes deliverance or sending away of evil is also needed. Jesus came to set the captives free and many have experienced trauma or PTSD. We have had training conferences by Dr. Mike Hutchins; the videos are on the Revival Valley YouTube channel and here is a handout.

Encounter Ministry at Revival Valley
If you are doing a formal appointment that is being covered by Revival Valley a release form must be used. In some cases, it is best (and we may possibly require) for you to bring a small group leader, discipler, or mentor from your church community to attend your inner healing appointment. Healing is a journey and having someone that will walk with you after the appointment can be helpful.
Revival Valley does not offer mental health services or counseling. We provide spiritual freedom prayer and encounters with God. If you needs mental health services please seek a trained professional.
